bihar film policy 2024: On October 18, a film conclave was organized in Patna, in which Bihar film policy was discussed. Many celebrity faces related to Bihar participated in this discussion, in which the name of Rajshekhar of Madhepura, who has made a strong mark as a lyricist in Hindi cinema, was also associated. Along with Bihar's film policy and future plans related to it, Rajashekhar also talked to Urmila Kori about his upcoming films. Here are the highlights of the conversation
Maithili cinema is doing well
This has been my journey till now from small village Madhepura in Bihar to Bollywood. During this period, this question has been coming to mind many times that when will films be made in Bihar like other states, especially like Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali cinema. We Biharis ourselves have such a rich history and culture. Those things of ours have not been able to come on screen in that way till now. The current film policy has come. I am optimistic about it that our films, our culture, our people, will now be able to reach people in a better way. A perception has developed among the common people that the films and songs of Bihar are like this only. The films of Bihar are like that. I think this is the best opportunity to rewrite that thinking. It's time to rewrite that chapter. I believe that there is an audience for such films and songs in Bihar, but until you know the taste of ghee, you call vegetable only good. Well, I am not saying that regional cinema is completely bad. Maithili cinema is doing both of these very well. Gamak Ghar, On Both Sides of the Pond, all these films are coming out well and are raising a lot of hopes.
With the shooting happening, the infrastructure of Bihar will also improve.
Bihar government is going to implement new film policy. In such a situation, he called those people associated with Bihar, who are continuously working in Bollywood. During this, there was discussion on how to increase film production in Bihar and also start meaningful cinema. Everyone knows that the film industry brings with it a parallel economy. The focus was also on how he would grow. So many stories are being made on Bihar, but not a single shooting takes place in Bihar. With the coming of the film policy, shooting of films will start. Due to the shooting, the hotel industry, transport business, besides food and drink, everything is going to increase. I would like to tell you that the shooting of a film in itself creates an entire village. The more films are made, the better the infrastructure of Bihar will become.
Do not give empty music and literature to the coming generations.
My appeal to all the people associated with Bihar would be whatever films or songs they make. Make it more responsibly now. I think music is a very important tool through which we can know a society. I am not a philanthropist, but we also have a responsibility to tell our future generation what kind of society, what kind of dictionary, what kind of Grammar of, what kind of song can you give? It completely depends on us. So we need to be a little cautious about this thing. I agree that there is some tampering in our folk songs, but one should look into one's own mind. Do not put everything aside to join the blind race for success. Do not give hollow music and hollow literature to your future generations.
This is how I look at the Popular Awards
My name is associated with the songs of last year's most successful film Animal, but till now I have not received any popular award, but I have no regrets about it. I look at the awards in such a way that if I get it, It is easy to party with friends and post stories on Instagram. Especially the popular award. I am talking about them. Like I got SW award. Who was the jury member in this award. He was a very special face of the industry. Especially in music, names like Mayur Puri, Sameer Saheb were associated with him. I felt very good when they gave me this year's Best Lyricist Award.
Upcoming Projects
Doing the third season of Mismatch. Apart from this, I am also a part of two to three upcoming films of the biggest production houses of the country. At present I cannot tell much because of those films. Well, I am planning to get involved in directing films in the future. Maybe the film policy of Bihar will help me in starting my second innings as a director.
