Sharda Sinha: Sharda Sinha, the nightingale of Bihar, is no more among us. His body has merged into Panchatattva today, but his voice will remain alive for many centuries to come. With his voice, he has given a special identity to Bhojpuri music all over the world. Hindi cinema has also not remained untouched by this. His voice is part of many popular songs of Bollywood. Let us know some interesting things related to the recording of such special songs. In this article by Urmila Kori.

At the time of recording of Kahe Tose Sajna, it was morning to evening.

The first name among Sharda Sinha's memorable Bollywood songs is the song Kahe Tose Sajna from Salman Khan's film Maine Pyar Kiya. The song of this film, released in 1989, was heard and liked a lot even today. Musician Uttam Singh was associated with that film as a music arranger. Recalling the incident of late Sharda ji's involvement with that song, he says That at that time the songs of UP Bihar did not get priority in Bollywood films, but all the credit went to Tarachand Barjatya and Rajkumar Barjatya ji. He had heard Sharda ji's voice through a cassette and he liked that voice very much. When I met him, he offered me the song Kahe Tohse Sajna from the film Maine Pyar Kiya. At that time she was in Mumbai only. This song had connected not only the people of UP and Bihar but also the people of other states. Recalling the experience of recording this song, Uttam Singh further says that Sharda ji rehearsed with composer Ram Laxman ji for three-four days, but on the day the song was recorded. Had some trouble that day. We kept trying the whole day to record the song. Morning turned to evening, but it did not happen. I said let's pack up now. If Sharda ji is comfortable then the recording of this song will be done directly at 11 o'clock in the night. She immediately agreed. She was also very upset due to not being able to record the song since morning. He again discussed with composer Ram Laxman. He continued the rehearsal alone and when the song was recorded at 11 o'clock in the night, it was done in a first class manner. For which we were worried since the morning.

Mother Sharda had recorded the song Nirmohiya in pain.

Sharda Sinha's voice has been associated not only with films but also with Hindi web series. Sharda ji had composed the song Nirmohiya in the web series Maharani 2 with her voice. Rohit Sharma, the composer of this web series, tells that when the song Nirmohiya was composed. At that very moment it was decided that only Sharda Maa would sing it. This was not only my decision, it was also the decision of lyricist Dr. Sagar and the show's producer Subhash Kapoor. His health was not well at that time. She was having trouble standing, but she came to Mumbai and recorded the song for us. I would like to tell you the day the song was recorded. That day, about a dozen people including producers and directors had gathered in the studios. Everyone wanted to hear Sharda Maa singing. Sharda Maa was having difficulty in standing. There was pain, but Sharda Maa recorded the song in two and a half hours. The recording of that song was such an experience for us that Devi was actually making the song memorable by singing it. Wahi Hua Bhi Nirmohiya song was very much liked after the release of the web series. I would like to tell that even after the recording, it stopped on our request. We had asked him to sing Sohar. He sang for us. We felt that this meeting would remain incomplete without hearing Sohar from Sharda Maa. He also praised the Queen's music. This was also her nobility. He has sung thousands of songs and he praised us. Which I will never forget.
