I like working with Neeraj Pandey. I had worked with him in A Wednesday, but then we did not work together for a long time. One day I was dubbing near his office. He said let's have coffee together in the office. That's how we started talking while drinking coffee. He was doing the film 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' with Ajay Devgan and he said that he wanted me to do a cameo in it. I said yes and then suddenly he said that he was also doing something with Netflix and he wanted me to read that script. This film was destined for Sikandar. I read it but at that time the pre-climax and climax of the film were not written. Gradually work on this started. Neeraj asked me to grow a beard. He wanted to present me differently in the role of a police officer. Look test done. After that we had a reading session after which I got the climax of the film.
The title was decided after the shooting started
As I told you, initially there was no pre-climax and climax in the script of the film. Similarly, there was no title of the film either. We started shooting the film. After a few days suddenly Neeraj Pandey comes and says that he has thought of the title of the film as Sikandar Ka Muqaddar. Immediately after hearing this title, the word 'Wow' came out of my mouth because this title completely does justice to the story. However, in the trailer launch, Neeraj told that Amitabh Bachchan's film Muqaddar Ka Sikandar was his favorite film, hence he also chose a similar title to it. Selected for the film.
The film should be released in theaters
Sikandar Ka Muqaddar should have been released in theatres. I want the film to be successful only if the audience says this. Well, OTT has proved to be a boon for everyone.
