BJP MP and Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Tokhan Sahu said these things in the meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee Disha and City Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee in Maniyari Sabhaghar. He thoroughly reviewed the progress of the programs.
He said that all district level officers should ensure effective implementation of government schemes and programmes. He instructed all officers to work with team spirit and coordination so that the name of the district comes in the front row in the state. He took information about the number of labourers registered under MNREGA, wage payment etc. and instructed to resolve the pending payments soon. He instructed to organize cleanliness programmes by doing Shramdaan with public participation under Swachh Bharat Mission. He said that efforts should be made to make cleanliness a part of people's nature and culture. He took information about the newly approved toilets in the district and asked to start the construction work soon. He instructed the Executive Engineer of the Irrigation Department to open the canal as per the demand of water for irrigation. He instructed to make necessary action plan to solve the problem of dirty drain water getting into Agar and Maniyari rivers flowing in the district.
Information about housing construction
While reviewing the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Union Minister of State Sahu directed to construct houses as per target and complete the work of ongoing housing soon. He said that no eligible person should be deprived of the housing scheme. He also inquired about the progress of model housing and gave necessary instructions. He instructed to take up the works of Jal Jeevan Mission seriously and fill the pits dug for the pipeline, so that no accident occurs. He inquired about the making of Ayushman cards under the Health Department and instructed to make cards for 100 percent of the people. He asked to do the process of marking land for the District Medical College and Kendriya Vidyalaya as soon as possible and to resolve the pending cases of compassionate appointment with sensitivity. He expressed happiness over the Girdawari work being more than 94 percent in the district and gave instructions to complete it within the time limit. Minister Sahu took cognizance of the electricity problem and instructed to make improvements and repair the transformer on time. He said that the officers and employees of the electricity department should pick up the calls of the consumers, so that information about the problem can be obtained.
In the meeting, Union Minister of State Sahu inquired about the progress of various schemes including PM Janman, PM Swanidhi Yojana, Skill Development, Ujjwala Yojana, National Health Mission, PMGSY and gave necessary instructions. MLA Punnulal Mohle praised the work being done by the government and administration for the welfare of the common people in the district. He asked to work according to the target by giving special emphasis on developmental works including education, health, agriculture, irrigation. Collector Rahul Dev, SP Bhojram Patel, DFO Sanjay Yadav, Additional Collector Nishtha Pandey Tiwari, CEO Prabhakar Pandey, ASP Pankaj Patel, district level officers of various departments, public representatives and committee members were present in the meeting.
