i want to talk movie review: Amidst the crowd of larger than life films in the theaters, director Shoojit Sircar's film I Want to Talk, released in theaters today, gives a feeling of peace. This is a survival story, which does not give sadness but trust. The way Shoojit Sircar has given treatment to this story and Abhishek Bachchan's acting on it has made this film more special, due to which this film has to be seen at least once. Should go.
This story is from real life
I Want to Talk is the story of Arjun Sen, settled in America, who is also a friend of Shoojit Sircar. This film is the story of his real life. Talking about the screenplay of the film, it is established in the very first scene that Arjun Sen (Abhishek Bachchan) is a marketing genius. In the very next scene, it is also told about his personal life that he has been divorced from his wife and they are co-parents to their only daughter, Reya. The daughter lives with her father three days a week and the remaining four days with her mother. While all this is going on, one day during an office meeting, Arjun falls ill and comes to know that he has laryngeal cancer. Now he has only 100 days. Apart from the fatal disease, he also comes to know that there is a lot of distance between his daughter and his relationship. After this, Arjun not only fights his death but also decides to reduce the distance between himself and his daughter. Will his illness give him that much time? How he strengthens his relationship with his daughter while fighting his illness. This is the story ahead.
Advantages and disadvantages of the film
This film, which is a story of the transience of life and the complexity of relationships, is also a story of hope. The film is the story of a man struggling with death. Whose body has undergone more than 20 surgeries so far. He doesn't have many body parts, but there is nothing like crying or disappointment in the film. This film gives you hope that a person can overcome every challenge with his courage, even if it is a fatal disease. This story has been told through the slice-of-life treatment. In the beginning, a patient is shown to be so broken after getting diagnosed with his fatal disease that he even thinks of committing suicide, but then how he manages himself and manages the relationships in his life. Which makes the eyes slightly moist and sometimes even adds a smile. The title of the film itself has talk, so its dialogues should also have been special and that is exactly what happened. It deeply captures the basic purpose of the film. The musical aspect of the song is in line with the story. The prosthetic and make-up team of the film also deserves praise because it has played an important role in the look of Abhishek Bachchan. You will notice some things while watching the film. It also seems incomplete. Nothing much has been said about the relationship between Arjun and his wife in the screenplay of the film. Nurse Nancy who took so much care of everyone. After all, why did he commit suicide? Even those who take so much care of us need care at times. There was a need to say this a little more effectively in the film. Apart from this, the first half of the film has also been a bit slow. There is repetition in many scenes. The film also reminds of Piku and October on many occasions.
Abhishek Bachchan has done wonders
This film is of Abhishek Bachchan. He is there in the film from the beginning till the last frame and he keeps everyone engaged from the beginning till the end with his tremendous performance. The way he has experimented with his look for his character. That also shows his dedication towards acting. Be it child artiste or young artiste Ahilya playing the role of Arjun Sen's daughter in the film, both win hearts. Ahilya's monologue scene shows her mature acting. It would not be wrong to say this. Jayant Kripalani also deserves praise. The scenes between Abhishek and her have turned out well. It's good to see Johnny Lever on screen after a long time. The rest of the actors have also done justice to their roles.
