I had decided in the fifth class itself that I would make a career in films.
There used to be a theater called Mohan Hall in Daltonganj, Jharkhand. I don't know whether it is a theater now or not. When I was in fifth class, I went to watch the film Muqaddar Ka Sikandar. As soon as the film was over, I had a feeling in my mind that this is my field. Generally, a child of that age has the mentality of becoming a hero in a film, but let me tell you, from the very beginning I wanted to be associated with film making.
writing was always inside me
I come from Paheliyaan village inside the block named Dhurki in Jharkhand. At present he comes to Garhwa district. At that time there was not even a paved road there. After walking for 2 to 2.5 kilometers we found a paved road, with two small rivers in between. Which we had to cross. The interior was there, but very nice. We had a very good life there. There is a place named Nagar Untari, where we studied in class 7-8. After that I did 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th in Uttar Pradesh. My father was a teacher in Nagar Untari High School. Rajeshwar Mishra was also a poet. He has written three epics – Sanyukta, Mandvi and Udti Chingari. You can also say that writing was always inside me. You understand that writing is our inheritance. Because I had decided from the fifth class that I wanted to make a career in films, I completed my graduation from Ranchi College. After doing this he got involved in film making.
Started by assisting South films
The village I was from. From there no one could even think of making a career in films. My father was a poet himself, so he also knew the desire of an artist. Initially he had refused me but when I was not agreeing, he understood that I was dedicated to art, after which he always supported me. In the year 1989, I reached Chennai to work. Was. At that time, technically very good work was being done in South films and very superficial work was being done in Bollywood films. This was the reason why I felt that what could be better than South films to learn from.
I have gone through a lot of problems
I worked as a small assistant in the films there for 3 years. Meanwhile, I got a Hindi film 'Current' to write. In which Om Puri and Deepti Naval were there. I came to Mumbai to do that film and then I remained a Mumbaikar only. After that I joined three-four films. In 2003, I wrote and directed my film Dil Bechara Pyar Ka Mara. If the film was not a hit, it was difficult to get another film. So I joined television. I worked as a creative director in television. The show which was done by Vishnu Dashavatar. I was its creative director. I would like to tell you that I have also acted in many historical shows. To be honest, I have gone through a lot of problems, but I have never taken those problems seriously. My passion for my work has been so much that I live and eat Didn't even think about the problems of all this. Whoever was struggling, there was no complaint because it was for films.
Half the people do not know about Shankaracharya
When I had finished my film Dil Bechara Pyar Ka Mara. At that time I met a Maharaj Charu Swami ji. He wanted to make a film on the monasteries of India. He called me and said that he wants to make a film on Adi Shankaracharya in Omkar. He told me about Adi Shankaracharya and gave me books. I wrote the script of the film and my film was about to go on the shooting floor in 2006, but due to some reason the shooting of the film got stopped. Even after the film was postponed, I kept reading and trying to know more about this subject. As I kept reading. I came to know that Adi Shankaracharya is the biggest megastar of our country. He has led us in every field. Has given us a new direction in every field. Be it spirituality, politics, literature, he has contribution in every field. After this I made it my mission that their story remains a story. People believe that this subject is not commercial, hence they do not want to touch it. They think that this is the story of a saint, what would be there in it. The reason for this is that half the people do not know about Adi Shankaracharya. This is my 19th year of association with this project. The first season is now ready for release. I am thankful to the Art of Living organization for trusting me with this project and giving me the opportunity to make it. It is because of him that I have been able to make this project.
Adi Shankaracharya's story will be told through four seasons
We will tell this story in four seasons. More than half of our season 2 has also been shot. Manish Wadhwa will be seen as the guru of Adi Shankaracharya in season 2. The first season will be the story of child Adi Shankaracharya. Which is played by Arnav Khanijo. The problems with which India was struggling at that time. Seeing this, he left his personal life and set out for the upliftment of the nation and culture. Currently, people will get to see this story in 10 episodes. This story of his is relevant even today. Today again the same circumstances are there from which Shri Adi Shankaracharya had taken us out in the eighth century. At that time the Arabs were attacking the north-western border. Today Pakistan is fighting continuously. At that time China was infiltrating in Badrikashram, today it is infiltrating in Arunachal and Ladakh. The kings of that time were fighting among themselves for their own interests, forgetting the country. Today's politicians are also setting the country on fire every day for power. This series will tell us what we need to understand the values of Adi Shankaracharya. I will bring stories of such national leaders in future also.
I go to Jharkhand only once a year
Now everything in my Aadhar card is from Mumbai, but I go to Jharkhand once a year. My ancestral property and my people are still there, so people come and go throughout the year. Your village and your people keep you connected to the land, so I find some excuse or the other and go to Jharkhand.
