During the trailer launch event, the fans of Pushpa-2 went out of control at Gandhi Maidan and the police had to resort to lathicharge several times to control them. During this time a stampede also broke out inside Gandhi Maidan. However, the police force and magistrate deployed in large numbers controlled the crowd. There was a huge crowd from inside the ground to outside. The crowd started breaking the barricades to reach the stage, which the police first tried to stop. To control the crowd, 500 police forces, a dozen magistrates and police from several police stations were deployed. SSP Rajiv Mishra said that there was no lathi charge.
