According to Dr. Vimal Chhajed, “Regular aerobic exercise strengthens the heart and promotes blood circulation. If you are just starting to improve your cardiovascular health and energy efficiency, running, cycling, swimming or brisk walking can prove to be some simple and effective options. “Try to get at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise every week.”

“Eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and heart-healthy fats (such as those found in nuts and olives). “They help in reducing blood pressure and cholesterol, which is very important for heart health.”

1. Walking
