The condition of the district hospital of Nyayadhani Bilaspur is such that due to sudden power failure, the generators lying in the hospital could not be started and the doctors here had to perform sterilization operations of women in the light of mobile torch.

After SIMS, it is the turn of the district hospital

A few months ago, the High Court had filed a PIL regarding the chaos prevailing in the SIMS Hospital of Nyaydhani Bilaspur. Since then, large scale improvement work has been done in this hospital. However, there are still reports of glitches in Sims from time to time. Bilaspur's district hospital is second in terms of chaos, where sterilization operation of women was going on yesterday. Meanwhile there was power failure. It is being told that after this an attempt was made to start the generators installed in the district hospital, but then it was found that 7 generators were kept in the hospital, but none of these generators could be started.

Other operations had to be postponed

There was sudden power failure during sterilization operation in Bilaspur District Hospital. The situation became so serious that the doctors had to operate the patient with the help of mobile torch, which threatened the patient's life. Doctors performed the operation with the help of mobile torch light. After power supply was disrupted in the hospital, other operations including sterilization also had to be postponed.

There was no diesel, so…

It is being told that despite the presence of 7 generators in the hospital to provide power backup in the operation theatre, it was of no use because all the generators were switched off. The reason for the generator being shut is said to be shortage of diesel. This incident has exposed the great negligence of the hospital administration.

Public interest litigation is going on in another case

Let us tell you that a few days ago, negligence was shown in the treatment of a young man who was an accident victim in the District Hospital, Bilaspur. After the news of this matter came in the media, the High Court took suo motu cognizance and started hearing in the form of Public Interest Litigation. During the hearing, the court has sought answers from the state government. The next hearing of the case has been scheduled for October 4. Now it is being discussed that the High Court may also take cognizance of the issue of operation being conducted in torch light tomorrow.
