1. Dermatitis: Soaps, detergents, vaginal washes, or even wearing certain types of clothing can cause irritating dermatitis, leading to vaginal itching, redness, and other discomfort.

2. Yeast Infection: A yeast infection can occur due to an overgrowth of the naturally occurring yeast, Candida, causing a red, itchy rash as well as a thick, white, cottage cheese-like discharge.

3. Bacterial vaginosisAn imbalance in the natural bacteria in the vagina can cause bacterial vaginosis, which can appear as a grayish-white discharge and a red, irritated rash.
